last updated June 6, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Frequency (“Frequency,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Frequency website, applications, and services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information. Your email address, name, display name, handle, chosen role (consumer, creator, expert, or business), and the neighborhoods you select.
- Content and activity. The places you save, request to book, book, or rate; the storefront you build; quotes and recommendations you write; your trust settings; and the friends or contacts you add (name, and any email or phone you choose to provide).
- Business information. If you claim or submit a business, the listing details, hours, contact information, and booking settings you provide.
- Connected social accounts. If you connect TikTok or Instagram, the limited profile information described below.
- Usage and referral data. Interactions such as views, saves, clicks to book, outbound clicks, and referral or invite events, used for attribution and analytics.
- Technical data. Standard log and device information (such as IP address and browser type) and cookies used to keep you signed in and operate the Service.
Connecting TikTok or Instagram
Connecting a social account is optional. If you connect TikTok, you authorize us, through TikTok’s API and the user.info.basic and user.info.stats scopes, to receive your TikTok open ID, display name, and follower count. We use this to display your follower count and link to your profile on your Frequency storefront. We do not post to TikTok on your behalf, and we do not access your videos, messages, or contacts. We may also embed publicly available TikTok or Instagram posts you reference, using those platforms’ standard public embed tools.
If you connect Instagram, we receive your username and basic profile information for the same display purpose. Our use of TikTok and Instagram information complies with their respective platform terms and developer policies. You can disconnect a connected account at any time from your dashboard, which removes the stored connection and associated tokens.
How We Use Information
- to provide, operate, and improve the Service;
- to personalize discovery and recommendations based on your circle and trust settings;
- to route request-to-book inquiries to the relevant business and confirm bookings;
- to power public storefronts, follower counts, and referral attribution;
- to send transactional messages (such as sign-in links, booking confirmations, and waitlist updates);
- to maintain security, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:
- Service providers. Vendors who process data on our behalf to run the Service — including Supabase (database, authentication, and hosting), Resend (email delivery), and Netlify (web hosting) — under agreements that limit their use of the data.
- Businesses you interact with. When you send a request-to-book inquiry, we share the details needed to fulfill it (such as your name and requested time) with that business.
- Public storefronts. Information you choose to make public — such as your handle, public picks, and quotes — is visible to anyone who views your storefront.
- Legal and safety. When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Frequency, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

Your Choices and Rights
You can access and update much of your information in the app, disconnect social accounts, and request deletion of your account. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and not be discriminated against for exercising those rights; we do not sell or “share” personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
